Offences brought to Justice
Shows the number of offences brought to justice (OBTJ) in the 12 month periods to the ends of the last two quarters, the number of OBTJ in 2001/02 (baseline), and the local target for each criminal justice board for the year 2005-06.
Reducing Ineffective Trials
Shows the proportion of trials that were ineffective in the last two quarters, the proportion of ineffective trials in the 2002 baseline quarter (June-August for Crown Court, July-September for Magistrates’ Courts) and the local target for each criminal justice board for the year 2005-06.
Confidence
Shows the percentage of respondents to the British Crime Survey (BCS) in the 12 month periods to the ends of the last two quarters who were very or fairly confident in the effectiveness of the Criminal Justice System (CJS) in bringing offenders to justice.

Also shows the percentage of BCS respondents who were very or fairly confident in the effectiveness of the CJS in bringing offenders to justice in the baseline period (year to March 2003) and the local target for each criminal justice board for the year 2005-06.
Fine Enforcement
The amount paid into court as a percentage of new amounts owed for each of the last four quarters.
Persistent Young Offenders Pledge
The average time in days from arrest to sentence for PYOs in each of the last four quarters.
